Ogilvy Group UK, Britain's largest brand communications agency today unveiled another new service for clients - Ogilvy Engage.Ogilvy Engage has been set up to offer clients a new approach to the provision of marketing communications solutions and has developed out of the success of Ogilvy's numerous in- and outsourcing programmes that it has been involved with since the early 1990's (for example: The Jigsaw Consortium (a combined database and analytics operation serving Cadbury Schweppes, Unilever and Kimberley-Clark) BBC Television Licensing and GMSA ).
Traditionally, Ogilvy's provision of outsourcing services has been confined to the areas of database management and analytics, but the new company will offer a full range of marketing communication services, reflecting the increasingly complex integration needs of clients in the digital age.
Background
It will be run out of the Ogilvy Group UK's Canary Wharf, London office and will be headed by Fraser Watson, Managing Partner of OgilvyOne London, who has just returned to the agency after a lengthy secondment in a senior marketing role at BT. He will be reporting into Mike Dodds, Managing Director of relationship marketing agency OgilvyOne.
Close Collaboration
He and the rest of the Engage team - which will be expanded according to opportunity - will work closely with other, non-Ogilvy companies, including Teradata, a division of NCR (data warehouse & data management, Systems integrators and data analytics), SITEL (call & customer help centres), Hyperion (business performance management through the desktop) and one of the countries leading audit firms, providing vital capabilities in the business modelling area. These organisations form the Engage 'community' which will offer clients complete marketing solutions. Ogilvy already has strong relationships with a range of organisations such as 'The Power of Two' (Ogilvy & IBM Business Consulting) and Satmetrics and the Engage community will build on these.

Watson says: We are not looking to compete with consultancies like EDS or Accenture, but rather provide clients with a new model that addresses the needs of those looking to outsource a range of marketing service capabilities. We come to this with some highly developed IP and modeling capability derived from working with our Partner Community.
This allows us to work with clients to not only identify quick wins, but also to visualise the optimal solution for them in the medium and long term. This visualisation technique is a fusion of work from our CRM Consultancy QCI and Group Partners
The 4D methodology also enables the client's senior management team to work with us in formulating the optimal solution for their marketing needs - and because we aim to work with clients for a minimum of two years, Engage can offer long-term relationships alongside deeper brand understanding.
Engage is a typically innovative, forward-thinking Ogilvy solution to a contemporary and pressing business problem that of how businesses can continue to future proof their brand whilst at the same time drive value from every interaction with its customers.
Ogilvy Engage will be announcing its first clients shortly.
