"Good designers can create normalcy out of chaos; they can clearly communicate ideas through the organizing and manipulating of words and pictures." - Jeffery Veen, 2000

How It Works
Structured Visual Thinking™

Structured Visual Thinking is exactly that, structured, visual and about rigorous thinking. It is a fundamental part of what we do and we apply visualisation and structure to every part of our assignments where possible. See 4D Approach

As you scroll down the page you will see just some of the images we have produced during 'live' sessions or off-line.

These images are built by teams in live sessions and designed to communicate the outcome of our assignments or act as interfaces to important information. We have deliberately tried to not over-elaborate the images with too much narration. See Visualisation, 4D Deliverables

Digital Interfaces

Often these interfaces are used in digital systems to hide the complexity or direct the viewer directly to specific information. These systems are proven to increase the understanding by placing insight or data in context. The systems are used in many applications. From learning and induction to pure information and communication devices. See Winning Bids

Digital Journeys

Digital Journeys are usually created in small teams. We will use large white walls and extract insights. These insights then inform the viewer through the use of roll-over and interactive technology. These Journeys are typically part of larger systems or installations in corporate environments.See SVT Live

'Live Drawn' Journeys

These images are initially drawn 'live' with our clients and are typically one or two day interventions around a specific topic and follow a logic such as a 'day in the life' or similar frame. These images are 25/30 feet x 8 feet in size. See Experience

Frameworks

These are the 4 frameworks we use within 4D beginning with the Discovery
Development
Decision
Deployment

Live Sessions

These images are initially drawn 'live' with our clients and are typically one or two day interventions. These images are 25/30 feet x 8 feet in size. See Experience

Scenarios

These images are initially drawn 'live' with our clients and are typically one or two day sessions around a current reality, a future vision or an intangible concept. There is no limit to the number of uses that Structured Visual Thinking can be put but here a couple of examples. These images are 15 feet x 8 feet in size. See Experience

Vignettes

Vignettes are individual images or stories that explain the entire story or scene. We often use the term to refer to a specific aspect of the meaning we are trying to build.
