Structured Visual Thinking Live™
SVT Live™ tools are powerful multi media systems. They are the most compelling interfaces we can imagine to the complexity of business thinking for the 21st Century. These systems are multi-layered and enable the viewer to access as much or as little in relation to future scenarios, transformations, strategies, operating models, use cases and journeys. We have designed systems to tell multiple stakeholders the whole story of a massively complex environment. We can tell an infinite amount of stories through the combination of Structured Visual Thinking™ and Augmented Visual Thinking™."A picture is worth a thousand words. An interface is worth a thousand pictures." - Ben Shneiderman, 2003
Explaining SVT Live
See Detailed Approaches Digital Systems
Any new strategy, transformation or change will require the leadership to explain to their teams that there are different ways to ‘see’ what is possible, what has changed and what’s in it for them. We talk about new perspectives new lenses. To see the change through an interface of new possibility. By creating new ‘frames’ - new scenarios we help them see things that are tangible albeit new as well as a future state they aspire to. It is only through seeing all this as tangible that the leaders can challenge and consider what they believe about what’s possible.
By 'seeing' words, phrases and meaning emerge in a visual way each participant engages parts of the brain dedicated to the act of thought. As Fernando Flores states so eloquently - "Thinking is the manipulation of multiple representations..." We work these conversations inside each module (part) of the logic model so that entirely new connections and ideas can form within the group. From this simple act agreement, decision and motivation for new value begins to emerge. It is both a powerful and thrilling experience for the team.
Once people see, think and believe differently then they are unconstrained - free to think of whole new solutions, new approaches, hypotheses – new ideas that they can test. Fueled by new insights, leaders and team are liberated in new ways.
Our work is about creating relevant stories to varying stakeholders. Because what we do is contextually valid we can speedily create interfaces of total relevance to whoever we decide.
Draw Attraction. Capture Imagination.

When we have concluded each session and at the end of an assignment, we have amassed a large amount of content and created an agreed approach based on a sound structural framework and a wide variety of artefacts.
With today’s technology and the need for engagement and communication in virtual and remote organisations we now have a major opportunity to leverage this material within on-line and stand alone systems.
The systems we build are immersive, interactive and stimulating multi-media environments which encourage wider stakeholder involvement, communication and engagement. See SVT Schema
Because we work the way we do and build content in structured modules it is readily straightforward to evolve the information design into rich environments and experiences for a wide variety of uses and audiences.
The Vision
"Interactive design [is] a seamless blend of graphic arts, technology, and psychology." - Brad Wieners, 2002
Technology today is able to do infinite things with visual and verbal dexterity. We have been building systems for over 5 years and amassed well over one million objects that weave within these multi-media environments to tell countless stories about strategy, change or transformed thinking.
The systems themselves vary significantly. They are built against deliberate schemas, architectures of story telling with appropriate navigation, help and menus. They are designed by teams themselves and therefore are used to induct new stakeholders, relay complex arguments in multi-dimensional conversation and support educative and learning environments within bid and sales environments. See SVT Schema
We apply state of the art animation and graphics within these frameworks and interfaces so that a massive amount of information transfer is an enjoyable and encouraging experience.
Countless Applications
These systems can be turned to great advantage in the following applications.
- Story Telling
- Induction
- Presentations
- Stakeholder dialogue
- Employee On-Boarding
- Status Review and Program management
- Team Focus
- Internal and External Communication
- Differentiation
Bring Strategy to Life
"We find that people quickly evaluate a site by visual design alone." - Stanford Guidelines for Web Credibility, 2002
Immersive, desktop, presentation or projection solutions that can be presented to large audiences or embrace an individual in learning - understanding the outcomes of the work.
We have invested heavily in technology and multi-media expertise and talent to bring our work to the widest audiences. These distrubutable multi-media solutions can be published with standard e-mail or web applications and solutions.
By using video-game technology and 3D software together with our passion for understanding the issues. We encourage inclusiveness and engagement, we design interfaces; animated and compelling 'stories' into the desktop or into the event.
Access to all content is made available by self selecting just what the user wants to see.
Complexity can be hidden until required and simpler more powerful messages can be animated encouraging involvement and sustained interest.
Digital Interface
"Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works." - Steve Jobs, 2003
These interfaces are used in digital systems to hide the complexity or direct the viewer directly to specific information.
These systems are proven to increase understanding by placing insight or data in context.
The systems are used in many applications. Learning and induction to pure information and communication devices.
Digital Journeys
"True interactivity is not about clicking on icons or downloading files, it’s about encouraging communication." - Ed Scholssberg, 2002
Digital Journeys are usually created after the initial session where we co-created the insights in small or expert teams. We use large white walls and extract these insights.
These insights become the language of the 'journeys' and then inform the viewer through the use of roll-over and interactive technology. These Journeys are typically part of larger systems or installations in corporate environments. See Roadmaps
